CEU Ratifies Collective Agreement
Employer Also Signs onto New Agreement
On Friday, December 19, 2008, the new Agreement was ratified by a large majority of CEU members. The new terms and conditions of the Agreement come into effect January 1, 2009 and will be incorporated into a new Collective Agreement.
Summary of New Terms and Conditions
1. Term of Agreement: January 1, 2009 – March 31, 2012
2. Total Compensation Re-Openers
April 2010
April 2011
Both Re-Openers have binding processes
3. Increase in mileage while on employer business
January 1, 2009 - $0.51 per kilometer
January 1, 2010 - $0.52 per kilometer
4. Enhanced moving expenses
5. Benefit improvements effective January 1, 2009
$500.00/year each for physiotherapy and message therapy
$500.00/year each for chiropractor and naturopath
White fillings included
PSA testing included
6. New forums to address career progression and mental health issues
7. New LOU for retired employees
8. Workforce Transition extended until December 31, 2012
The Board of Directors ratified the Agreement on December 24, 2008.
